Summer Sports Program

Welcome to the Amethyst Harbour Campers' Association Children/Teen Land and Water Sports Program registration page.

The Sports Program is for ages 6 and up and runs 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Transitions is for ages 4-8 and runs 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

Storytime is for ages 2-5 and runs from 9:00 am - 11:00 am.

If your child is interested in signing up for extra program options (tennis, waterskiing, or sailing) please select "Not registering for Sports Program" and then select the programs. Please note, that priority is given to those registered in the Sports Program.

Main Program Components:

  1. Extended Day : This will begin in the morning at 9:00 am and runs until 4:00 pm. There will be a one and a half hour lunch with the option to stay at the park with supervision (additional fee). Also, there is a set 30 minute break in the afternoon to have a snack, get out of the sun and reapply sunscreen if needed. The morning will consist of one hour of park games and one hour of a sport. These sports will consist of biking (trail) orienteering, agility courses and more. The afternoon will consist of a block of swimming, one of tennis, one of sports skills (led by community partners) and one organized game of the sport of the day.
  2. Part Day: Registrants are able to participate in a part day program of their choosing. Please choose either the morning or afternoon as it is very difficult to keep track when kids change between the two.
  3. Storytime: geared to kids ages 2-5. The program has a mix of crafts, reading, age appropriate games, forest exploring and free time on the equipment.
  4. Transitions: This program is geared to kids ages 4-8. They will participate in Storytime in the morning, one block of games in the afternoon and one of swimming.
  5. Afternoon Tennis Program with Marcus Grillo: he will coach following Tennis Canada guidelines for group sizes and instruction. Ages 6 and up.  Children do not need to be enrolled in morning activities program to participate. Priority is given to those registered in the Sports Program. This is an additional cost. If your child is not registered to participate in tennis with Marcus, there will be no tennis available for your child on Mondays and Wednesdays.
  6. Tennis on Tuesdays and Thursdays with AHCA staff is included in the regular Sports Program fees.
  7. Wonderful Wednesday for all children in the Sports' Program. Assortment of activities AHCA staff has planned.
  8. Fun Fridays will include blocks of non-sport activities such as different types of experiments, crafts and visitors.
  9. Extra program options at an additional cost, including waterskiing, rock climbing and sailing.
  10. Baseball vs Loon Lake: will be every Tuesday and Thursday evenings
